Today, Microsoft introduced a new way of connecting mobile devices to business applications. Office 365 for iOS and Android devices will allow you to view, edit and share Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote documents from your smartphone or tablet, as long as you have an Office 365 subscription. The new platform is available to Office 365 for Small Business and Office 365 for Business with PCs, Macs and iOS devices users on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 OS, and iOS 9 and 10 OS.
Office 365 for iOS and Android allows users to search and access documents, spreadsheets and presentation files stored on the cloud. You can also easily share and collaborate on Office documents with others, and respond to emails from your smartphone or tablet.
The Redmond giant has partnered with industry leaders like Box, BoxCloud, DocuSign, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, Google Apps, GitHub, HelloSign, Intuit, Microsoft, and OneDrive to provide data-security, synchronization and integration with other cloud apps. The platform is also integrated with Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Flow, OneDrive for Business, OneNote, Skype, SharePoint, Outlook, Office Communications Server, SharePoint Online and Yammer for on-premises users. Office 365 for iOS and Android apps are now available in the App Store and Google Play Store.
If you have not yet signed up for Office 365, the price for the subscription has been reduced from $6.50 per user to $6.25 per user for the year, and per user for the year for small business accounts. On the other hand, the Office 365 for Business with PCs, Macs and iOS users will be available for $8.00 per user.
